While you will have another week to update your word document and images, we'll have a few interim deadlines to help us get us there smoothly, coordinated with the work we are already doing for studio:

• Friday Feb 19: Video Responses to the Following Questions:
  • Our Question
    • Why are we going to Mars?
    • What's different about CMU architecture? What is a CMU education for you?
    • What have we done as a class so far? What have you been leaning about space?
    • Why architecture in space?
    • What is your project about?
  •  Questions from the Mars City Design Competition:
    • What is unique about their design.
    • What innovation comes out of this design.
    • Can it be used immediately on Earth to improve human life condition.

• Monday Feb 22: Interview with Mars City Design Team (with some prepared responses)

• Friday Feb 26: Post your word document describing your project.
  • What is it?

  • How can your design improve the functioning of a city on Mars?
  • How did you come up with the idea?
  • Which category does your design fit best under?
  • Which Martian challenges does your design address?
  • What is unique about your design.
  • What innovation comes out of this design.
